New studies have discovered that the time you eat may play a large part in gaining weight.
In a study conducted by Dr. Jonathan C. Jun, associate professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins University, it was found that eating a late dinner relates to weight gain and high blood sugar levels, regardless of the number of calories consumed.
It was also found that late eaters had blood sugar levels almost 20% higher compared with those who ate dinner earlier. Their fat burning abilities also reduced by 10%.
However, there were a few exceptions.
According to Dr. Jun, people who were night owls and ate as late as 2 or 3 a.m. seemed to have been unaffected by the change in their meals.
